Daun Saab Transport Ltd require a full time motor mechanic to join their team.

This is a full-time role with a minimum of 30hrs gauranteed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting routine maintenance checks on vehicles, including oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections.

  • Diagnosing complex mechanical issues and implementing effective solutions.

  • Interpret diagnostic test results and determine appropriate repair actions.

  • Repairing or replacing faulty components, such as engines, transmissions, or brake systems.

  • Conducting thorough inspections to identify any potential safety hazards or issues.

  • Providing accurate and timely reports on the condition of vehicles and any repair work undertaken.

  • Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines.

  • Offering exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns and queries professionally.

  • Explain repair procedures and costs to customers in a clear and professional manners.

  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and parts used.

  • Keep track of work orders and ensure timely completion of all tasks.

  • Perform final inspections on repaired vehicles to verify that all work meets quality standards. 

  • Maintains, tests and repairs engines and the mechanical parts of motor vehicles such as transmissions, suspension, steering and brakes

Requirement for the Role

  • A relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering is required to perform this role.
  • While a Bachelors Qualification is strictly not a requirement, a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering will be a great advantage.
  • 3 Years of relevant experience as a Mechanic can substitute the qualification requirements.
  • A vaild drivers licence or the ability to obtain one in 3 months.
  • 6 to 12 months of New Zealand work experience is an advantage but not a mandatory requirement.
