Northern Plumbing Limited has been operating in Auckland for almost 14 years, providing comprehensive plumbing services to residential and commercial clients. As our business continues to grow, we are seeking three skilled Plumbers to join our professional team.
Key Responsibilities
- Studying blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, materials required, and installation procedures.
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining hot and cold-water supply systems and associated fixtures.
- Designing, assembling, and installing sanitary plumbing systems, discharge pipes, soil and waste stacks, and related fittings.
- Installing water-based fire protection systems, including fire hydrants, hose reels, and sprinkler systems.
- Installing, testing, and maintaining sewerage and effluent pumping equipment and disposal systems.
- Fabricating and installing metal roofing, rainwater goods, flashings, and associated drainage components.
- Inspecting, diagnosing, and rectifying plumbing faults to ensure compliance with the New Zealand Building Code and relevant regulations.
- Testing plumbing systems for leaks, pressure, and operational performance to ensure safety and compliance.
- Completing required documentation, job records, and compliance reports accurately.
- Following all workplace Health and Safety procedures and maintaining a safe, organised work environment.
Skills and Experience Required
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant plumbing work experience in residential or commercial environments.
- Proven skills in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems to a high standard.
- Ability to interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Competence in using plumbing tools, testing devices, and equipment safely and effectively.
- Reliability, punctuality, and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Full New Zealand driver’s licence preferred.
Applicants must have a clean criminal record. Preference will be given to New Zealand citizens or residents.
Pay & Conditions
- Hourly rate: NZD $27 – $30, based on skills and experience.
- Hours of work: 30 – 40 hours per week, Monday to Saturday, between 8:30 am – 6:30 pm.
- Ongoing professional development and training provided.
- Employer will support employees to obtain and maintain an Exemption under Supervision licence and progress towards full PGDB registration if desired.
