Job Description: 

A busy and fast-growing construction company in Auckland is seeking several experienced carpenters to join our dynamic team. Due to increasing project demands, we are looking for the person who can hit the ground running and contribute to delivering high-quality results on time.

The role will include, but not limited to:

  • To study drawings and specifications to decide what materials to be used and relevant installation procedures

  • To cut materials with chainsaw, assembling and nailing cut and shaped parts with tools such as drills

  • To repair exiting wood planks with chainsaw and electric planner

  • To establish the framework of structures

  • To erect framework and roof framing, lay floorboard and check the trueness of structures

  • To nail fascia panels, sheathing roofs and ceiling batten, fitting exterior wall cladding and door and window frames

  • To assemble prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install

  • To cut wood joints with tools such as chainsaw

  • May construct concrete formwork

  • May work with plastic laminates, Perspex and metals

  • Other duties may be reasonably required by the business owner or director

Job pre-requisites: 

  • At least 2 years’ relevant working experience with verified evidence

  • Relevant qualifications are preferable but not a must

  • Physical fitness and could handle the heavy workload

  • Quality workmanship and eye for detail

  • Strong dedication to health and workplace safety。

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work with other team members.

  • Strong ability to work independently

  • Hourly rate : $28.00 – 31.00 
  • Working place: Auckland
  • Working hour per week: 30 - 50
