Carpenter

We are looking for a Carpenter to join our dedicated team in Hamilton. This is a full-time position, requiring a minimum of 30 hours per week.

As a Carpenter, you will play a key role in constructing, erecting, installing, renovating, and repairing various structures and fixtures made from timber and other materials in residential and commercial renovation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret drawings and building specifications to determine project requirements, materials, and construction methods.

• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble timber and other materials to construct or repair frameworks, partitions, floors, walls, roofs, doors, windows, and fittings.

• Install structures and fixtures such as cabinets, staircases, trims, and wallboards in accordance with plans and codes.

• Renovate and restore existing buildings by removing, replacing, or reinforcing timber and structural components.

• Ensure all work is aligned, level, and built to the highest standard, maintaining quality and safety on-site.

• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently, complying with relevant health and safety regulations.

• Collaborate with other trades and project managers to meet deadlines and ensure client satisfaction.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of two years of work experience as a Carpenter.

• Competent in framing, roofing, flooring, and finishing work.

• Experience with timber, plywood, wallboard, and other construction materials.

• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to craftsmanship.

• Good understanding of building codes, safety standards, and construction techniques.

• Accept flexible working hours.
