Job Description：

We are looking for 1 welder to join our busy team. 

You need 

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience. 

• Proficient in shielded metal arc welding, gas metal arc welding, and skilled in operating related equipment.​

• Ability to read construction drawings and welding specifications, and execute welding as required.​

• Good physical condition, adaptable to roof high-altitude work and varying weather.​

• Strong safety awareness, adherence to safety protocols, no major past safety incidents.​

• Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with construction teams.​

• Capable of independently inspecting weld quality and handling defects promptly.

Day to day responsibilities 

• In accordance with construction drawings, use techniques such as shielded metal arc welding and gas metal arc welding to weld roof metal frames, support structures, and gutters, ensuring compliance with strength and safety standards.​

• Clean, derust, and preheat metal materials before welding; inspect the specifications and quality of welding materials to ensure they are compatible and durable.​

• Adhere to welding process specifications, monitor parameters such as temperature and current, avoid defects, and carry out timely repairs.​

• Inspect the appearance and dimensions of welded components, conduct non-destructive testing when necessary, and ensure compliance with drawings as well as flatness and tightness requirements.​

• Maintain welding equipment to ensure its good operation and meet construction progress.​

• Comply with safety regulations, wear protective equipment, take fire and electric shock prevention measures, and avoid accidents during high-altitude operations.​

• Record welding data and assist managers in quality traceability and acceptance.​

• Participate in the repair and transformation of roof metal structures, formulate and implement welding repair plans, and restore structural integrity.​

You will need to travel among different worksites within in Auckland region. Your each shift is 8 hours. However, you may expect to work over-time in accordance with your team tasks. You will work between 35 hours and 60 hours per week.

Job Type: Full-time 

Pay: $25.00 per hour 

Schedule: 8 hour shift
