Job Summary
We Dance Limited is a professional dance studio dedicated to inspiring and educating students of all ages in classical ballet and other dance disciplines. We pride ourselves on fostering a supportive and creative environment where students can develop their skills, artistry, and confidence.
The Ballet Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality ballet instruction, preparing students for examinations and performances, and contributing to the artistic and educational growth of our studio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare ballet and other dance training programs and class schedules
- Deliver ballet classes for students of varying ages and skill levels, following recognised ballet syllabi
- Demonstrate and teach ballet techniques, movements, and choreography with a focus on proper form, alignment, and artistic expression
- Plan and organize dance workshops, recitals and competitions
- Prepare students for internal and external assessments, examinations, and stage performances
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback to parents and sponsors
- Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs
- Maintain a safe and supportive studio environment, ensuring students’ well-being
- Collaborate with other teaching staff and management in developing class timetables
- Communicate with student and parents to ensure class satisfaction and improvements
Job Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Dance, Performing Arts, or a related field
- Or, at least three years of full-time teaching experience to substitute the qualification
- Recognised ballet teaching certificate (e.g., RAD or equivalent) is preferred
- Strong knowledge of ballet techniques, pedagogy, and performance preparation
- Passionate and experienced dancer with strong choreography skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students
- Bilingual skills are preferred
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by the class schedule and performance calendar
This role is a permanent full-time job, with minimum 30 hours to maximum 40 hours per week.
The estimated pay rate is $35 - $45 per hour depending on experience
