Sportsfield Construction and Maintenance Specialist

This is a permanent full time role, working 40 hours a week, and up to potentially 60 hours per week over the busy season. 

Sportsfield Construction and Maintenance Specialist

To work in all aspects of the companies chosen fields including the construction, irrigation, drainage and maintenance of Golf and Sport Fields.

Tasks include but are not limited to:

• Drainage and full irrigation installation
• Pump installation
• Operating tractors and specialist equipment 
• Diagnosing and repairing irrigation and drainage leaks/issues
• Seedbed preparations, planting, fertilising, watering  
• Maintenance of fields including mowing, line marking repairing damage 
• Concrete works
• Construct and repair sports surfaces and surrounding facilities 
• General site labouring also required
• Ensure all customer queries are dealt with in a prompt and professional manner or referred to the appropriate person.
• To travel to relevant work sites in accordance with the company vehicle policy.
• Ensure all relevant paperwork and documentation is completed in a timely, accurate and legible manner.
• Ensure company equipment is secure and accounted for and report any discrepancies or faults immediately.
• To wear company supplied uniform ensuring easy recognition and a professional appearance at all times.
• Take ownership of special projects and tasks allocated to you from time to time 
• Must be able to work in a team and unsupervised

Working away from home across Auckland and Waikato required. Also required to travel to other regions to various job sites thorughout NZ from time to time. 

Must be eligible to work in NZ and references will be required.  Valid drivers licence and reliable transportation. 

Minimum 3 years’ experience required
