Architectural Draftsperson Wanted

Reco Construction Limited is a growing construction project management service provider, delivering high-quality residential and commercial projects across New Zealand. We are seeking a skilled Architectural Draftsperson to join our team and contribute to the preparation of accurate design and consent documentation for our projects.

Location: Auckland, New Zealand
Hours per week: Minimum 30 hours
Employment type: Full-time, permanent
Hourly rate: $30 to $35 depending on experience

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete architects’ design concepts into accurate drawings, regulatory consent documentation, material specifications, and related calculations, ensuring compliance with New Zealand regulations and industry standards.
  • Prepare consent-related drawings and documentation, and lodge applications either independently or under supervision.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, internal teams, and external consultants during the consent process to deliver high-quality outcomes on time.
  • Liaise with council staff on consent queries under supervision.
  • Undertake limited construction coordination tasks as required.
  • Follow project timelines, adhere to quality control procedures, and self-check drawings for accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain professional knowledge, support sustainable practices, and comply with company health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, sharing skills and contributing to team objectives.

 

Requirements:

  • Diploma or higher qualification in a relevant field such as architecture, design etc OR at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in CAD and other architectural drafting software is highly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
