We are looking for Sub-floor Carpenter to join our business in Christchurch. Our growing business requires organised and trustworthy individuals who pride themselves on quality workmanship. You must be motivated and result driven.
The Sub-Floor Carpenter is responsible for carrying out structural carpentry work, including the preparation, adjustment, and repair of timber sub-floor systems. This role involves re-levelling foundations, undertaking precision jack-and-pack operations, and performing timber component replacements in accordance with technical drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:

Undertake sub-floor structural carpentry, including cutting, fitting, assembling, and securing joists, bearers, and other timber members

Interpret and work from construction drawings, site plans, and technical specifications as directed

Operate a variety of powered carpentry tools and levelling equipment in accordance with health and safety procedures

Assist in the re-levelling of foundations using mechanical and manual jacking systems, ensuring compliance with specified tolerances

Carry out jack-and-pack operations to restore correct floor levels and maintain structural integrity

Conduct site preparation and reinstatement work, including safe handling and movement of building materials

Maintain compliance with workplace health and safety requirements at all times
Pay conditions
Min $29 per hour to a maximum of $35 per hour
Hours of work
Minimum 30 hours of work is guaranteed
Skills and experience required:

2+ years experience in the construction industry

Friendly, with good time management, & excellent work ethic are essential
