JOHN AND JAMES NZ LIMITED T/A BROWNS VANITY in Auckland, New Zealand is looking for a suitable Salon Supervisor to join the team. To be suitable for this role, you must have either a minimum of three years' industry-related experience or a relevant Level 4 Qualification.

The Perfect candidate will have the responsibility of providing services, learning and recommending new techniques as required, applying knowledge of the industry, and providing excellent customer service daily.

The pay rate will be $24.00 to $29.00 per hour, based on Work Experience.

Location: Auckland

Job type: Full-time – 30 hours Minimum per week, based on a rotating Roster

Duration: Permanent

The job duties associated

  • Greeting customers as they enter the hair salon;
  • Being able to ascertain a customer’s preferences for the services sought and providing appropriate advice.
  • Ensuring that health and safety standards are adhered to and that all equipment is sterilised prior to use on a customer.
  • Ordering equipment and stock as and when required
  • Arranging appointments as per availability for customers
  • Keeping records of payments from customers
  • Represent our brand with pride and professionalism across assigned retail locations
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with retail store teams and management
  • Demonstrate and promote our beauty products to staff and customers
  • Achieve sales targets
  • Maintain planograms, stock levels, and ensure visual merchandising standards are met
  • Provide feedback and insights to head office on store performance and customer trends
  • Collaborate with fellow reps across NZ for national brand consistency.

What we expect:

  • You must have at least 2-3 years' experience or a minimum Level 4 Qualification to be suitable for this role.
  • You will be trained, supported and guided. 
  • Self-motivated, multitasking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
  • Available on weekends, holidays and for spilt shifts, a roaster will be provided in advance.
  • Basic verbal communication skills.
  • Time Management skills with a Professional approach
