HT TRUCK DRIVER NEEDED

We are looking for

  • Must have clean truck class 4 license (full) or equivalent.
  • You should have at least one year of relevant driving experience

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to use handheld equipment for delivery purposes or willingness to learn to use one
  • A positive working attitude and willingness to learn is crucial
  • Need to be able to work unsupervised as well as work with a team. 
  • Being punctual is critical to keeping on track with the delivery schedule
  • Must be Physically fit - Heavy lifting is involved. 
  • Loading and unloading the truck is involved.
  • Delivery of dairy, baked and dry goods to customers in the Wellington-Otaki region. Training will be provided 
  • Willing to start work in the early morning hours or at odd hours of the night
  • Must be able to or willing to work on Public Holidays
  • You will also be required to provide cover work for staff that take leave including emergencies
  • Must be able to travel to and from work on your own. e.g., 12am start
  • Honesty, reliability, customer focus, and a can-do attitude is a must have.
  • You will need to follow any rules set up around the depot and the operation. Especially around Health and Safety
  • Be able to demonstarte good customer service 
  • Demonstrate good and safe driving skills and practices
  • Be composed and able to work under pressure
  • Be willing to undergo random drug and alcohol testing
  • Ensure safety requirements are met when loading and unloading vehicles
  • Make regular checks on vehicles prior to starting
  • Verifying loading documents and checking condition of goods

ROLE

The full-time roles are based on a minimum 30hrs of work and will be based on the days you are rostered(min @ 30hrs/wk and max @ 60hrs/wk) depending on roster.

This is a fast paced environemnt hence this role would not be ideal for someone who cannot maintain a pace or be an active worker.

  • Depot is located in Seaview, Petone, Wellington. This is our base of operations
