We’re seeking a reliable and experienced Gardener/Property Maintenance person to join our team. If you’re passionate about horticulture, enjoy a hands-on role outdoors, and can bring practical skills in both gardening and property care, we’d love to hear from you.
About the Role:
This role involves a range of gardening and grounds maintenance tasks, work to rejuvenate native forest and care of a small orchard on the property. Tasks include:
- Preparing soil and garden beds for planting
- Planting a variety of plants
- Assessing tree health and identifying signs of disease or decay
- Applying treatments to prevent or manage pests and diseases
- Pruning and trimming hedges and trees - involved using chainsaw and other hand tools
- Installing plant supports and protective structures
- Caring for trees, gardens and green areas through regular watering, mowing, mulching, fertilising, and weed control
- Assembling and installing landscape features
- Other property maintenance tasks such as general housekeeping, waterblasting, car and building cleaning and assisting the owner with any other duty required around the property.
What We’re Looking For:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Level 4 Certificate in Horticulture or at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Confidence with garden tools and machinery
- A keen eye for detail and plant health
- Ability to follow plans and timelines
- Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors year-round
- A strong sense of responsibility for safety and environmental care
- Good communication skills and a cooperative team mindset

- Pay rate: Competitive hourly wage - $30 per hour
- Hours: Minimum of 30 hours per week
