We are currently seeking reliable and full-time painters to join our team. The starting pay offered is $25-$35 hourly and will be fixed according to the skills and experience for 30 to 50 hours a week. However, this will be reviewed periodically. Any overtime will be paid as per the above pay rate. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of related tasks, including:
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, scraping, patching, and priming.
- Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray guns.
- Select appropriate paint and materials based on surface types, project requirements, and environmental factors.
- Follow safety protocols and use protective equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, including proper storage and disposal of painting materials.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other team members to coordinate painting schedules and prioritize tasks.
- Address any touch-up or repair work as needed to achieve a flawless finish.
- Adhere to project specifications, blueprints, and quality standards to meet client expectations.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- At least two years of practical experience in construction and finishing tasks, such as surface preparation, plastering, and applying coatings to achieve high-quality finishes.
- Must be available to work early mornings and weekends (based on work arrangement).
- Physical stamina and the ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines.
- Pre-employed drug test and police check is required.
