An experienced Cook is required for our busy Indian Takeaway in Auckland.

Pay: Minimum $24.50 and maximum $30.00  

Hours: Minimum 30 hours guaranteed per week  

Relevant Experience: Minimum one year  

Working hours will be between Monday and Sunday 

Job Description:  

• Preparation/Seasoning/Cooking of food  

• Must cook Indian Curries, Tandoori dishes, and Indian Sweets 

• Portioning and plating the food to ensure great presentation  

• Check and maintain food quality at all times  

• Planning a menu with the consultation of the Chef  

• Ability to adapt dishes to cater to any special dietary requirements 

• Must be able to use temperature-controlled equipment  

• Estimating kitchen materials as necessary  

• May train kitchen staff  

• Storing and labelling food in Chillers  

• Ensuring kitchen equipment is kept clean and sanitised  

• Ensure kitchen waste is kept to a minimum  

• Ensuring personal hygiene and maintaining high standards of health and safety
