Senior Beauty Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION: SENIOR BEAUTY TECHNICIAN

V Beauty Studio Limited is looking for 05 super stars to join our beauty team in Christchurch. 

Responsibilities

• Assess clients' nails before treatment

• Provide manicures (buff, shape, and polish clients' nails) and pedicure

• Prepare clients' nails for enhancement and apply artificial nails

• Carry out acrylic nails, gel nail, silk nail, fiber glass nail, UV gel, nail extension, nail repair, and other specialized hand and foot treatments, Gel X and builder gel)

• Decorate and design on clients’ nails (nail arts)

• Refer clients to health professional regarding nails diseases and problems (e.g. fungus nails, in-growth nails, double nails)

• Properly use chemical for nail treatment

• Massage clients' hands

• Providing advice on nail care and treatments

• Eyelash extension (including classic, hybrid and volume), fake eyelashes, removal and providing advice eyelash style for clients

• Carry out waxing (face and body) to remove unwanted hair and tinting eyebrows and eyelashes

• Communicate to reach clients’ need, ensure clients’ satisfactions

• Provide appropriate trainings to new staff

• Receive bookings via phone and social media, organize reasonably appointments and record clients’ information

• Carrying out other jobs required by the Studio Manager

Requirements

• Have 2+ years’ experience as a beauty technician

• Can work in a multicultural workplace

• Be punctual, tidy, and reliable

• Attention to detail and focus on quality 

• Know about the basis of Health and Safety procedures 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, following instructions

• Be able to work minimum hours of work – 30 hours per week

• Must be able to work the weekends

• Overtime may be required to complete the tasks in a timely manner

• Applicants for this position should have Citizenship/ NZ residency/ a valid NZ work visa

• Competitive rate based on experience ($28-35 per hour)
