Treadlite NZ Ltd is seeking a skilled and reliable carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship. They will be responsible for a variety of carpentry tasks, working on commercial projects throughout our NZ sites, and ensuring all work meets NZ building codes and safety standards.

Responsibilities:
Constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures using wood, plywood, wallboard fixtures and steel.
Framing walls, floors, and roofs.
Lifting tyres onto conveyors
Using machinery such as forklifts, loaders, diggers
Reporting defects, accidents or damages
Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery
Adhering to safety standards and ensuring a safe working environment
Collaborating with the team to meet production goals
Assisting with jobs in the yard
Ensuring the yard is kept clean, tidy and a safe work environment
Basic maintenance including inspections and greasing
Requirements and Skills:
NZQCF Level 4 qualification or higher in Carpentry or at least three years of relevant experience.
Full New Zealand Drivers License.
Current Forklift OSH
F, W, T & R endorsements.
Previous experience and competence on forklifts, loader and digger.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
Strong understanding of building materials and techniques.
Welding and grinding experience
Strong attention to detail.
Physical fitness.
Be willing to undergo random drug tests while employed.
Must be NZ Citizen, NZ Resident or eligible to work in NZ.
The successful applicants will also have the opportunity to work in different locations (Waikato, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Christchurch), providing a unique chance to explore New Zealand's diverse regions.
This is a full-time permanent role, and the hourly pay rate is between NZ$29 and NZ$31, depending on experience and qualification. The work hours are from 30 hours minimum to 60 hours maximum per week, and they are to be worked between Monday and Friday between 8.30pm and 4.30pm. They may be required to work on weekends.
