We are seeking skilled and experienced Excavator Operators to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for operating excavators to perform various earthmoving tasks, including trenching, grading, and material handling. This role requires precision, safety awareness, and the ability to work effectively in construction and civil engineering environments.
Job Duties:
- Prepare machine for operation.
- Operate excavators to dig trenches, foundations, and other necessary earthworks.
- Load and unload materials, debris, and other objects safely and efficiently.
- Perform grading, levelling, and compaction tasks as required.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and ensure the machine is in good working condition.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and ensure safe working conditions.
- Interpret plans, drawings, and specifications to execute tasks accurately.
- Work collaboratively with other site workers and supervisors to complete projects on time.
- Identify and report any mechanical issues or hazards.
Job pre-requisites:
- At least three years of relevant work experience is required.
- Valid heavy equipment operator certification or license is preferred.
- Strong understanding of excavation techniques, soil types, and safety practices.
- Ability to read blueprints, site layouts, and grade stakes.
- Physical stamina and ability to work long hours outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.
