Samar Construction Limited is seeking motivated Carpenters/Trainee Carpenters to join our team. In this role, you will be involved in installing, repairing, and maintaining wooden structures — including foundations, framing, cabinetry, doors, flooring, and trims.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals already working in the construction industry who have good understanding of building work and practices and are eager to upskill and step into a Carpentry role.

Full-time role: 30–40 hours per week

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, and construction plans.

  • Measure, cut, assemble, and install components such as window frames, doors, flooring, and cabinetry. 

  • Shape materials using hand and power tools; maintain these tools in good working condition.

  • Build frameworks and roof structures, install sub-flooring and floorboards, and check structural accuracy.

  • Fit fascia panels, roof sheathing, exterior cladding, and door and window frames.

  • Put together pre-cut wood pieces to form structures and fixtures ready for installation

  • Perform on-site inspections; remove and repair or replace damaged sections. 

  • Ensure workspace safety and maintain cleanliness; wear appropriate PPE.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in construction or related building trade.

  • Carpentry apprenticeship or vocational training (preferred but not essential).

  • Strong physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks.

     

  • Willingness to learn, upskill, and commit to continuous improvement.

  • Proficient use of tools such as saws, drills, sanders, and levels.

  • Excellent attention to detail, teamwork skills, and ability to work independently.

  • Valid Class 1 driver’s license (essential for site travel).

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work flexible hours when required.
