We are looking for a skilled and experienced carpenter to join our busy team. You will need to have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience to be qualified for this role.

Location of Work: Auckland

Number of Vacancies: 2

Type of employment: full time, 40 hours per week

Days required: Monday to Saturday  

Pay: $30-$32 per hour

Your duties will include:
• Construct and install temporary structures and supports including scaffolds for workers to stand on, boxing used as for wet concrete area, forms for concrete foundations and timber structures to support machinery.
• Read drawings and plans to determine dimensions and materials required.
• Plan how the work will be done using measuring and marking equipment.
• Cut and shape building materials using hand and power tools.
• Construct the frame, install rafters, joists, sub-flooring, wall sheathing and prefabricated wall panels.
• Install hardwood flooring, staircase, shelves, cabinets, windows, window and door trim, other woodwork and hardware.
• Fasten work together using nails, screws, glue and staples.
• Verities work using levels, plumb bobs, rulers and squares.
• Explain steps, provide directions and answer questions about the construction processes to employees and subcontractors.
