We are searching for bricklayers to work in Auckland region and fill our permanent and full-time positions (guaranteed 30 hours/per week, roster from Monday to Saturday). We offer an exciting and competitive hourly rate of : $28-$29 

We are a long-standing construction company searching for someone who takes pride in their work, is highly motivated, and can complete projects on time.

The successful applicants will work alongside our teams on various construction sites. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Follow trade instructions to determine materials required for the job
  • Study and interpret blueprints to decide on dimensions and installation process
  • Prepare jobs site with required tools and protections
  • Measure out build areas and set out the first rows of bricks and damp course
  • Cut and trim bricks using hand and power tools
  • Lay bricks in rows and embed them with mortar and remove extra mortar around
  • Assemble bricks into rows, designs and shapes
  • Dig holes, mix concrete, plaster or other damp-resistant materials using hand and power tools
  • Ensure all levels of bricks are properly levelled, aligned, and finished
  • Modify, fix, and reinstate brickwork to maintain or renovate the structures
  • Participate with keeping all work environments clean, orderly, and safe

 

Although onsite training will be provided, our successful applicant will need to have either:

 

  • Ideal candidates should have at least 2 years' relevant work experience in the same field or industry,OR
  • Have a relevant level 4 qualification or above equivalent overseas qualification can be accepted

It would be a bonus if the successful applicants also have:

  • Close attention to details and deadlines in all aspects of daily work
  • Capable of working well both independently and as part of a team
  • Be a team player who is proactive and adaptable
  • Communicate effectively and positively with co-workers and clients
