Job Title: Carpenter

Location: Auckland

Job Type: Full-time (At least 30hours/week)

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Review and interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine materials, dimensions, and installation procedures. 
  • Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials to build wall and ceiling frameworks, flooring systems, and roof structures. 
  • Construct and install various structures such as external stairs, partitions, and panels using appropriate tools and fasteners. 
  • Install doors, windows, and associated hardware like hinges, locks, and handles into prepared frames. 
  • Repair and renovate wooden structures by removing and replacing damaged or deteriorated timber. 
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and high-quality completion of projects. 
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work site by clearing debris, tools, and materials after each task. 
  • Prepare and install formwork for concrete structures as needed, ensuring precise alignment and durability. 

What we need: 

  • 2 Years of relevant work experience or a relevant Certificate (Level 4 or above) in Carpentry, Construction, Engineering, etc.
  • Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings and plans. 
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment. 
  • Understanding of wood properties, construction techniques, and fastening methods. 
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors. 
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and tidy workspace.
