L&W Holiday Limited is a dynamic and growing travel company based in Auckland, dedicated to creating unforgettable journeys and delivering high-quality travel experiences. We are currently seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Travel Product Specialist to join our team and play a key role in designing, developing, and managing our travel products.
The Travel Product Specialist is responsible for researching, developing, and managing travel products and packages that meet customer needs while ensuring profitability and competitiveness. The role involves close collaboration with suppliers, airlines, hotels, and internal sales and marketing teams to deliver innovative travel solutions and exceptional customer experiences. This is a permanent full-time position, and you are required to work 40 hours per week from 9 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities?
Product Development & Management
- Research and design travel packages tailored to different market segments.
- Negotiate rates and contracts with airlines, hotels, and ground operators to achieve competitive pricing.
- Monitor product performance, update pricing and itineraries, and ensure content accuracy.
- Evaluate competitor offerings and market trends to maintain a competitive edge.
- Develop new product concepts in line with customer preferences and seasonal demands.
Supplier & Stakeholder Relationships
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with suppliers and service providers.
- Liaise with local and overseas partners to ensure smooth delivery of travel products.
- Manage supplier communications regarding bookings, availability, and service quality.
Sales & Marketing Support
- Provide product knowledge, training, and updates to sales teams.
- Work with marketing teams to develop promotional strategies, brochures, and digital campaigns.
- Assist in preparing product descriptions, itineraries, and pricing for online and offline platforms.
Customer Focus
- Ensure travel products align with customer expectations and enhance overall satisfaction.
- Gather customer feedback and work with the team to continuously improve product quality.
Administration & Compliance
- Maintain accurate product and contract records.
- Ensure all products comply with relevant travel industry standards and regulations.
- Monitor financial performance and prepare reports on product sales and profitability.
About You
- At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Hotel Management or Marketing OR
- At least three years of proven experience in travel product development, tour operations, or destination management.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of global travel trends and customer preferences.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and optimize performance.
- A creative thinker with attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
