NIUS GARDEN LIMITED, established in 2020, specializes in providing gardening services and landscaping construction for clients across the Auckland region. We take pride in creating high-quality outdoor spaces for both residential and commercial properties. We are currently seeking a skilled Bricklayer to join our team and contribute to our expanding range of projects.

Position Overview:

We have a permanent, full time vacancy for a Bricklayer. This role is a minimum of 40 hours per week, at a payrate of $25-27 gross per hour, depending on skills and experience.

Job Description:
As a Bricklayer at NIUS GARDEN LIMITED, you will be responsible for:

  • Constructing and repairing brick, block, and stone structures for landscaping and garden projects.
  • Preparing and mixing mortar and other materials.
  • Cutting, shaping and polishing stones and bricks using machines and hand tools, and shaping bricks to fit irregular spaces
  • Constructing walls using stone slabs and large masonry slab blocks
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Ensuring all work meets quality standards and project deadlines.
  • Collaborating with landscaping and construction teams to complete projects efficiently.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Bricklayer or in a related role, working on construction or landscaping projects.
  • Ability to work with bricks, blocks, and stone with precision.
  • Knowledge of mixing and applying mortar and other bonding materials
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Strong physical stamina and attention to detail.

  • Familiar with construction site safety standards and regulations.
  • Ability to speak Cantonese or Mandarin is a real bonus as our primary clients come from the Asian market, particularly Chinese clients. We will certainly consider all candidates.
