Site Supervisor

Position Available: Site Supervisor

Number of Positions: 2
Location: Opotiki, Bay of Plenty
Pay Rate: $26 – $30 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours of Work: 30 – 40 hours per week
Industry: Horticulture (Orchard operations)

Key Requirements:

• At least 6 months or more experience OR Level 1 or above qualification required. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead orchard teams in daily horticultural operations.

• Organise and allocate tasks such as pruning, thinning, irrigation, spraying, and harvesting.

• Monitor quality standards and ensure work is completed efficiently.

• Train new workers on safe orchard practices and correct work methods.

• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with health and safety requirements.

• Report progress, challenges, and workforce needs to orchard managers.

• Assist in planning labour requirements during peak seasons.

• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, staff attendance, and orchard progress.

• Liaise with management to ensure smooth orchard operations.
