Bricklayer

Under the supervision of licensed building practitioner, you will need to conduct job duties include, but are not limited to the following:

·         Measures distance from reference points and marks guidelines on working surface to lay outwork.

·         Lays building materials to construct or repair walls, partitions, arches, sewers, and other structures embedding blocks in mortar and removing excess mortar

·         Removes excess mortar from face of block, using trowel

·         Checking vertical and horizontal alignment

·         Cutting, shaping and polishing stones and bricks using machines and hand tools, and shaping bricks to fit irregular spaces

·         Repairing and maintaining bricks, cement blocks and related structures

·         Designing and cutting monumental masonry and lettering

·         Constructing walls using stone slabs and large masonry slab blocks

·         Other duties may be reasonable required

 Job requirements:

·         No formal qualification is required, any relevant qualification is preferable

·         Have 2-3 years or more relevant experience

·         Attention to details

·         Be able to work independently as well as a team

·         Be able to work under pressure

·         Be physically fit

·         Be reliable and hardworking

·         Be willing to work during weekends if required

Working Place, hours, Wages level

·         Working in assigned construction sites in Auckland

·         Weekly Hours: You will be paid at actual hours however we guarantee minimum 30 hours and maximum 48 hours  

·         Remuneration: Great market driven rates on experience, hour rate $30-$32
