Excavator Operator

Position Available: Excavator Operator

Number of Positions: 1
Location: Hamilton
Pay Rate: $32 – $38 per hour 
Hours of Work: 30 – 40 hours per week

Key Requirements:

• Minimum Level 4 qualification or at least 3 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate excavators and other machinery to complete trenching, digging, backfilling, and site preparation for plumbing and drainage works.

• Assist plumbing teams by preparing work areas for pipe laying, water connections, and drainage installations.

• Perform routine checks and maintenance of excavator to ensure safe and efficient operation.

• Safely move, load, and place materials as required on site.

• Follow instructions from supervisors and work collaboratively with plumbing crews.

• Comply with all health and safety regulations and maintain safe work practices at all times.

• Record and report any equipment faults, incidents, or hazards.

• Ensure efficient use of machinery to meet project timelines.
