Glen Eden Fresh Limited is a well-established shop selling fresh produces and groceries in Auckland. Due to our business expansion, we are looking for Assistant Buyers to join our friendly team in Auckland.

 

What you will do but not limited to the following:

 

  • Creating purchase orders, getting vendor confirmations, and entering information into company systems
  • Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating deliveries of groceries and fresh produces (e.g. fruits, vegetables, milks, eggs and breads)
  • Establishing accounts with suppliers, negotiating prices, and maintaining communication with vendors
  • Assisting in securing groceries and fresh produces to maintain supplies for daily operations
  • Interpreting data, monitoring sales, and watching market and customer trends
  • Developing promotional strategies and campaigns
  • Providing overall administrative support

 

Suitable candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

 

  • Either have at least two years of relevant experience or NZQF Level 4 qualification
  • Good communication and time management skills
  • Punctual, honest, reliable and hardworking
  • Keen to work well within a team setting
  • Great attention to details

 

What we can offer:

 

  • Full time employment: in Auckland
  • Hourly rate: $30/hour gross - $35/hour gross
  • Hours of week per week: a minimum of 30 hours, no more than 40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Over time maybe expected
