We are currently seeking reliable and full-time Construction Welders to join our team. Starting pay offered from 30-35 hourly will be fixed according to the experience for 30-40 hours a week, however, this will be reviewed periodically. Any overtime will be paid as per the above pay rate. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of related tasks, including:

Welding Roof Components: Perform welding tasks on various roof components, including beams, trusses, and metal roofing panels, ensuring strong and durable connections.

Metal Fabrication:Cut, shape, and assemble metal components for roof structures based on blueprints and technical specifications. Material Handling: Select and handle welding materials and consumables, ensuring they are suitable for the job and in good condition.

Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to understand welding requirements and design specifications.

Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on welding equipment and tools. Address any issues with metal components or welds that arise during the construction process.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other tradespeople and team members to coordinate and fulfil tasks whenever necessary.

Safety Setup: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures when working at heights and handling welding equipment.

Quality Control: Maintain high standards of workmanship by paying attention to detail and following established quality standards and best practices.

 

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Minimum of two years of proven experience in welding or a relevant construction role.
  • Must be available to work early mornings and weekends (based on work arrangement).
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Pre-employed drug test and police check is required.
