Truck Driver

Position: Experienced Truck Driver- Class 4- General

Hassan Holdings (2019) Limited is currently looking for Truck Drivers with a class 4
License and experience with Truck. This is a full-time permanent position based in
Auckland.
 Minimum working hours will be 30 hours per week and might be up to 60 hours
in peak season
 Pay rate range will be $30.00- $35.00
Job Description- tasks and responsibilities:
- Drive freight trucks and transport finished goods and raw materials from depot to
retail outlets
- Ensure goods are packed securely and safely for delivery
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative
maintenance.
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations,
parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
- Collect and verify delivery instructions.
- To ensure the truck is loaded appropriately and materials recorded correctly.
- Report defects, accidents and violations.
To be suitable for the role, you must:
- Have a class 4 license.
- Have at least 2 years of relevant experience driving Truck.
- Be physically fit for some lifting.
- Be able to work across weekends and outside normal working hours.
- Flexible with night and day shift hours as we operate 2 shifts.
- Must pass company induction.
- Be able to pass a Pre-Employment drug and alcohol test, and rand drug testing as
required- due to the nature of the position.
- Must pass a criminal background check and have a clean driving record.
- Able to manoeuvre trucks into loading and/or unloading positions.
- Completed and manage Logbook.
- Will demonstrate initiative and possess good communication skills.
- Knowledge of emergency procedures and how to handle hazardous conditions.
