Seeking an Architectural Technician with relevant experience in the NZ social housing sector.

We are seeking an architectural technician that has relevant architectural experience and our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Residential Design experience, with 3 years in the NZ social housing sector.
  • Bachelors degreee or higher, in design/architecture.
  • Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Leading consultant meetings and presentations.
  • Must have experience with BC submissions through Consentium.
  • Full and comprehensive experience with Revit.
  • Extensive experience in document management.
  • Sound understanding of construction principles and techniques.
  • Skill in crafting detailed construction plans and specifications.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience with Lumion, Twim Motion and Enscape.

The key focus for this role is providing office-based as well as onsite & design services for our clients, with back up support from our wider team.

This is a full-time position, working a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Your responsibilities will include the following:
Providing architectural design, draughting and project administration services to Hierarchy Group Limited, or any strategic alliances that Hierarchy Group Limited enters into with.

This may include the following:

  • Attend Integration Events.
  • Assist with Construction RFI's where applicable.
  • Assist with Resource Consent RFI's where applicable.
  • Provide colour scheme analysis (Revit, Enscape, D5 or similar).
  • Provide Homestar support.
  • Provide Healthy Homes analysis.
  • Assist with project presentations such as the Bulk and Location or daily stand-up meetings.
  • Develop consultant co-ordination skills to accurately deliver projects to takt.
  • Liaise with Hierarchy Group Project Leads or Project Resources for assistance and mentoring where applicable.
  • Liaising with clients, other industry professionals, local authorities, and site personnel.
  • Assist with BC RFI’s where applicable.
  • Lodge PIM applications where applicable.
  • Revit, Word and Excel documentation where necessary.
  • Arranging and attending site meetings with design and or project team personnel where appropriate.
  • Prepare scoping reports and associated drawings.
  • Preparing drawings and specifications.
  • Prepare 3D Visuals using software such as Lumion, Enscape, D5 or similar, to suit project and clients’ requirements.
  • Review specifications, documents and drawings provided by various consultants.
  • Check, coordinate, issue, and lodge own and other contracted consultants building consent documentation.
  • Carry out building consent and working drawing documentation.
