We are seeking a 1 permanent commercial cleaner  to join our cleaning team for immediate start.  

This hands-on full-time position will be servicing the Countdown Cambridge based in Waikato region. This role guarantees a minimum of 32 hours per week, with a maximum of 40 hours during busy periods. The shifts for this position will rotate between Monday and Sunday, starting from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Duties and Responsibilities
·       Work together with the team to ensure cleaning is completed to a high standard and in a timely manner.

·       Perform daily supermarket cleaning tasks including mopping the bakery, deli, and supermarket trading floors, machine scrubbing the supermarket floor, and cleaning toilet facilities

·       Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the tearoom by wiping down tables and benches, mopping floors, and emptying rubbish bins

·       Vacuum offices on designated days, empty office rubbish bins, and scrub the back storeroom once weekly

·       Ensure the cleanliness of the outback areas such as nightly cleaning of the produce and meat preparation areas, and weekly cleaning of the milk fridge area

·       Perform floor maintenance duties such as mopping floor edging

·       Carry out specialized cleaning tasks including cleaning , disinfecting and removing dust and dirt from various surfaces

·       Utilize appropriate materials to remove stains, dirt, and residues from a variety of surfaces

  • No experience is required for this role, training would be provided.
