We are currently seeking reliable and full-time Floor Finishers to join our team. Starting pay offered from 30-35 hourly will be fixed according to the experience for 30-40 hours a week, however, this will be reviewed periodically. Any overtime will be paid as per the above pay rate. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of related tasks, including:

  • Measure, cut and install different types of floor coverings according to plans and specifications. 
  • Prepare subfloors by cleaning, levelling and applying adhesives or underlays.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Trim, join and finish floor coverings neatly around walls, stairs, and fixtures.
  • Repair or replace damaged flooring when required.
  • Follow workplace health and safety requirements at all times.

 

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Two years of previous experience in flooring installation or construction work (carpentry, general labouring, building trades) is highly valued.
  • Must be available to work early mornings and weekends (based on work arrangement).
  • Physically fit with the ability to handle manual work including lifting, kneeling, and working on site.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Pre-employed drug test and police check is required.
