College Admissions Consultant Wanted

We offer long-term, individualised support, from high school through to university admission,guiding students to achieve their educational and career goals through a fully tailored process.

Location: Auckland, New Zealand
Hours per week: Minimum 30 hours
Employment type: Full-time, permanent
Hourly rate: $40 to $45 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities：

• Provide expert advice to students and their families on selecting suitable universities and courses based on students’ academic backgrounds, interests, and career goals.
• Develop personalized application plans, including suggested majors and timelines.
• Design background enhancement strategies with activities and awards, and monitor progress for individual students, outlining timelines and key milestones.
• Arrange research paper advisors to guide students in completing academic projects.
• Recommend standardized test schedules such as TOEFL/IELTS and SAT/ACT.
• Coordinate communication between students and various contractors/part-time advisors responsible for different parts of the application process, such as statement writers, visa consultants, and post-arrival service providers.
• Monitor progress of each student’s application as a unique project, ensuring deadlines are met and issues are addressed promptly.
• Draft and refine CVs, personal statements, essays, and recommendation letters.
• Coordinate application timelines, review materials, and manage online submissions.
• Translate academic documents and guide communication with admissions officers or professors.
• Prepare students for interviews with coaching, mock sessions, and InitialView training.
• Continuously update knowledge of university admission requirements, scholarship opportunities, and relevant immigration policies. 

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field (such as Education, Counselling, Sociology, Commerce, Management etc ) OR at least 3 years of work experience in university admissions consulting.
• Past successful experience in assisting students to gain admission into IvyLeague universities, Oxbridge, or other globally top-ranked institutions is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with scholarships and funding opportunities for international students is preferred.
• Strong writing skills to support students in producing application essays and personal statements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, academic advisors, and university representatives across different cultural backgrounds.
• Strong time-management skills and capable of managing multiple applications, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.
