Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week - Flexibility to work up to 6 days per week, including weekends
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable Vehicle Recovery Driver to join our team in Whangārei. The role involves safely recovering and transporting vehicles and parts while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities

Communicate pick up/delivery times with clients and sellers, and maintain a schedule for a timely pick up/ delivery.

Inspect vehicles required for pick up and hand over cash to sellers

Manoeuvre vehicles into position for loading and unloading

Load and unload vehicles using lifting and towing devices

Follow all safety procedures when handling vehicles and auto parts

Carry out regular quality and safety checks of vehicles before use

Estimate weights and ensure compliance with load limitations

Secure vehicles and goods to prevent loss or damage during transport

Verify delivery documents, check the condition of auto parts, and confirm deliveries

Provide professional and friendly service to customers during recovery and delivery
Skills and Experience
-
At least 1–2 years’ relevant experience is preferred

Strong knowledge of vehicles and mechanical parts is an advantage

Class 1 driver’s licence (Class 2 licence or willingness and ability to obtain is desirable)

Clean driving record (no disqualifying criminal or traffic history)

Physically fit and able to perform manual handling safely

Excellent time management skills

Good communication skills and customer service focus

Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently

A clean driving record is required
