We are looking for a Store Person to join our Wellington night team on a casual basis. In this role, you will be responsible for picking and packing orders and replenishing stock.

  • Immediate start
  • Location: William Durant drive, Trentham, Upper Hutt
  • Casual position, shifts as and when required
  • Shifts available: between 8.30 pm to 4.30 am (approx.).
  • Operations: 6 days per week, Sunday to Friday.

 

The role: You will pick, pack and processing customer orders accurately. 

  • Efficiently picking, packing AND labelling goods for dispatch
  • Achieve a high accuracy rate in picking orders without errors
  • Coordinating and ensuring that the orders are packed on time.
  • Ensure goods are dispatched accurately as per order requirements
  • Maintaining a neat and tidy workplace at the end of your shift.
  • Heavy lifting up to 20-25 kgs.
  • Wrap pallets and assist in loading and dispatching
  • Assist with general warehouse functions including stock take
  • Adherence to health and safety and food safety standards

 

The person: 

You will have experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment in a similar role, with a background in pick packing being ideal. This is a physically demanding position that requires a strong individual who can keep pace in our fast-moving work environment. You should be able to handle the physicality of the role and thrive under pressure while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.

  • Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects up to 25kg.
  • Experience in pick packing food and non-food items.
  • Must be able to work in a cold environment
  • Reasonably good Literacy and numeracy skills
  • Flexible, reliable and available as and when required for shifts.
  • A good level of computer literacy skills and the ability to pick up new systems
  • Prior NZ experience and knowledge of basic food ingredients
  • Honest team player, integrity and reliability are essential.
  • Attention to detail and Clear communication skills
  • Hold class 1 full license with reliable transport to attend to work.
