Warehouse Staff

Job description

The role includes, but is not limited to, the following duties:

  • Picking and packing orders of chilled/frozen/ambient products for daily delivery.
  • Hand-loading and unloading goods to/from the vehicle.
  • Monitoring inventory levels in the multiple warehouses and tracking inbound and outbound orders to prevent overstocking and out-of-stocking.
  • Organising stocktakes as required and other stock control measures providing direction to logistics staff and ensuring stock accuracy.
  • Driving forklifts for loading, unloading, shelving and handling warehouse goods.
  • Keeping store areas clean and tidy, and unobstructed complying with the company’s Health and Safety guidelines.

Compensation

$29.66 - $32.00 per hour

Minimum guaranteed hours of work

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
 (8 hours between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM (Next Day) per day. You may need to cover the night shift.)

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in the logistic services industry, such as distribution, transport and/or warehousing facilities.
  • Fluency in Japanese - the successful candidate must be proficient in Japanese because this role involves reading and instantly understanding Japanese language packaging to accurately and efficiently sort and shelve goods sourced from Japan using a forklift.
  • As this role may involve working late at night when public transport is unavailable, so commuting by personal vehicle is essential.
  • Extensive experience using ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning, e.g., NetSuite) and WMS (Warehouse Management System, e.g., RF-Smart) in logistics operations is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Physically fit and strong as heavy (25kg+) lifting and carrying are involved.
  • Have a positive attitude and confidence and are motivated to work independently as well as in a team.
