United Construction Limited is a well-established construction company based in Auckland. We are involved in a wide range of residential and commercial building projects across the Auckland region. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a experienced and motivated Carpenter to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Constructing, assembling, installing and repairing wooden and metal structures and fittings.

  • Studying drawings, specifications and work orders to determine materials, dimensions and installation procedures.

  • Measuring, cutting, shaping, and joining timber, plywood and other materials.

  • Assembling prepared wood to form structures and fittings, ready for installation.

  • Using hand tools, power tools and machines to shape and assemble timber and other materials.

  • Checking accuracy of work with levels, rulers and other measuring tools.

  • Ensuring all work meets safety standards and quality requirements.

  • Collaborating with site managers, builders and other tradespeople to complete projects on time.


Skills and Experience Required

  • At least a relevant qualification at NZQF Level4 (e.g. NZ Certificate in Carpentry) is preferred, OR

  • At least two years of relevant work experience as a Carpenter or similar role.

  • Proven experience as a Carpenter in residential or commercial construction.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

  • Competent in using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.

  • Good physical fitness and the ability to work at heights or in confined spaces.

  • Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
