Required Qualities:
- Strong welding, fabrication, and technical skills.
- Practical and mechanically minded with a hands-on approach.
- High-level problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and troubleshoot
effectively. - Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and technical issues based on customer
descriptions. - Strong working knowledge of agricultural equipment, tools, and industry best practices.
- Maintain a level of physical fitness necessary for handling heavy equipment and machinery.
- Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed.

Position Purpose :
To manufacture and repair farm effluent equipment. This equipment plays a vital role in ensuring our farms remain compliant with environmental standards while promoting sustainable and responsible agricultural practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabrication, Welding, and Maintenance:
- Perform fabrication, welding, and maintenance tasks on new and used agricultural
equipment and machinery, including prototype developments. - Follow manufacturing parts lists and daily work schedules to ensure accurate and
efficient production. - Conduct welding, measuring, cutting, and machining tasks as required.
- Assist in general engineering projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to
required standards.
Workshop and Equipment Management:
- Monitor stock levels of materials such as steel, gas, and components, and notify the
Production Manager when supplies need replenishing. - Assist in maintaining and servicing workshop equipment.
- Ensure the workshop remains clean, organized, and safe.
Repairs and Problem-Solving:
- Support the team with repairs and troubleshooting, identifying effective solutions to
any issues that arise. - Collaborate with the broader team to complete repair work as needed.
Quality Control and Compliance:
- Collaborate with the broader team to complete repair work as needed. Ensure all work meets quality control standards and is fit for its intended purpose.
- Accurately complete all required documentation, including recording stock usage,
work charge-outs, and job progress in the company’s filing system. - Ensure jobs are appropriately logged and passed on for invoicing.
