Full time permanent Fitter Machinist required for our busy company.

The minimum work hour will be 30 per week and maximum will be 45 per week. Hours of work are to be flexible to meet the operational needs of the Employer. These hours include Monday to Friday and Saturday Mornings on a roster basis. Candidates should pass a background check and must be physically fit. New Zealand citizen or resident is preferable.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Operate manual and CNC equipment including lathes, milling machines, and a machining centre.

·         Manufacture precision components to tight tolerances.

·         Interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications accurately.

·         Assemble mechanical systems and perform functional testing.

·         Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise downtime.

·         Conduct routine maintenance to keep machinery in optimal condition.

·         Operating both manual and CNC machines, read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings accurately.

·         Follow all health and safety protocols to maintain a safe and efficient workplace.

·         A supportive, down-to-earth team culture.

 

Skills required:

At least 2 years’ experience related to the role.
