With a strong reputation for craftsmanship and innovation, we are now looking for a motivated Business Development Specialist to help us grow our business and expand our client base.
As our Business Development Specialist, you will play a key role in driving growth by building strong relationships with clients, architects, contractors, and developers. You will identify new business opportunities, nurture long-term partnerships, and promote our high-quality joinery solutions to both residential and commercial markets. This is a permanent full time position, you are required to work 40 hours per week between Monday and Friday during normal business hours.
Key Responsibilities
Business Growth & Client Acquisition
- Develop and implement strategies to expand our market share in the residential and commercial fit-out sectors.
- Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities with property developers, architects, construction companies, and interior designers.
- Actively pursue and convert leads into long-term business relationships.
Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
- Act as the key point of contact between clients and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and project alignment.
- Represent Arcadia Joinery at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to build brand awareness.
Sales & Proposal Management
- Prepare and deliver tailored proposals, presentations, and quotations to prospective clients.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements in line with company policies.
- Track sales activities, maintain CRM records, and provide regular reporting on progress against targets.
Market Research & Strategy
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
- Provide feedback to the management and design teams on client needs, emerging trends, and product development opportunities.
- Contribute to marketing initiatives, promotional campaigns, and digital presence to support business objectives.
Skills and Experience
- At least a Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business, management or a related field OR
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management (preferably in joinery, construction, or interior fit-out industries)
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to work independently and deliver results
- A passion for high-quality craftsmanship and design
