Job Details:

Location: Auckland

Position: Electrician

Term: Permanent full time position

Wage: $40.00-44.00 per hour

Hours of work: Minimum 30 hours per week, Maximum 50 hours per week 

Shifted from Monday to Sunday

We prefer the candidate:

  • At least 3 year relating working experience  or equivalent NZQF Level 4 qualification

  • Current New Zealand Electrical Practising Licence is required

  • Excellent communication skills;

  • Excellent time management skills;

  • Reliable and able to work under pressure.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Executes the installation, testing, connection, commissioning, upkeep, and adjustment of electrical apparatus, wiring, and control systems.

  • Interprets blueprints, wiring schematics, and technical specifications to establish operational sequences and procedures.

  • Measures, plans, and marks reference points to guide installation activities.

  • Chooses, cuts, and attaches wires and cables to appropriate terminals and connectors.

  • Utilizes electrical and electronic testing equipment to identify and troubleshoot malfunctions.

  • Fixes or substitutes impaired wiring and malfunctioning components.

  • Places and sets up electrical switchboards.

  • Links electrical systems to power sources.

  • Checks electrical circuits for continuous flow.

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the company.
