We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tiler to join our professional team for a variety of ongoing and upcoming projects across Auckland. The ideal candidate will take pride in delivering work of the highest standard, with a strong eye for detail and craftsmanship. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dedicated team, working on both residential and commercial tiling projects where quality and precision are our top priorities. 

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect sites, take measurements, and determine tile quantities while factoring in layout patterns and material waste.
  • Prepare surfaces meticulously before installation.
  • Remove existing tiles, grout, and cement to ready the area for new work.
  • Repair and level uneven floors, walls, and other surfaces as needed.
  • Choose the right tiles for each project and cut them to size.
  • Apply adhesives to surfaces and tiles, ensuring strong and secure placement.
  • Accurately lay tiles so they are even, well-aligned, and flush with corners and fittings.
  • Grout tile joints, clean off excess grout, and seal surfaces for protection.
  • Waterproof areas prone to moisture, like bathrooms and showers.
  • Execute intricate or decorative tile patterns with care and precision.
  • Polish and finish tiled surfaces to a high-quality standard.
  • Operate all equipment and tools safely and responsibly.
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations on site.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently or manage projects with minimal supervision.
  • Minimum two year of relevant experience in tiling or construction.
  • Good physical fitness, with the ability to lift heavy materials regularly.
  • Drug test may be required at construction sites
  • In-depth knowledge of various tile types, adhesives, and correct handling methods.
  • Willingness to work Monday through Saturday and on weekends if needed to meet project deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.
  • Commitment to upholding strict workplace health and safety practices.

Job Details:

  • 30–40 working hours weekly.
  • Pay range: $26–$33 per hour
