Key Responsibilities:

As a Truck Driver, your duties will include:

• Manoeuvring vehicles into position for safe and efficient loading and unloading

• Loading and unloading vehicles using lifting and tipping devices

• Observing all safety requirements during the loading and unloading process

• Performing regular quality and safety checks to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy

• Estimating load weights and ensuring compliance with legal weight limits

• Securing goods properly to prevent movement, loss, or damage during transport

• Verifying loading documents and delivery dockets

• Inspecting goods before and after delivery and obtaining confirmation of receipt

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A valid New Zealand Class 5 driver’s licence
  OR
  At least **1 year of verified full-time experience driving heavy trucks in New Zealand_

• A clean driving record with no major violations

• Proven ability to operate heavy vehicles safely and efficiently

• Knowledge of load limits, safe weight distribution, and transport regulations

• Ability to perform basic maintenance checks and pre-start inspections

• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently

• Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading and manual tasks as needed

• Eligibility to work in New Zealand
