NIUS GARDEN LIMITED Introduction: 

NIUS GARDEN LIMITED, established in 2020, provides professional gardening services, landscaping construction, and residential building renovation and repair throughout the Auckland region. We are currently seeking an experienced and dependable Tiler to join our close-knit team and help deliver projects efficiently and to a high standard.

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces and expertly installing a range of tiles with precision and attention to detail. Your work will include both interior and exterior spaces, ensuring durable, high-quality finishes that meet functional requirements and exceed aesthetic expectations.

What we offer:

A Full-time permanent role - 30 minimum guaranteed work hour per week

The rate of pay or salary: $24 to $27 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces by removing old materials, cleaning, and levelling to ensure a proper base for tiling.
• Measure and mark surfaces to lay out work, following design plans and customer requirements.
• Cut and shape tiles using hand tools or tile-cutting machines.
• Mix and apply adhesives and grouts, and position tiles with precision.
• Install a wide range of tile types (ceramic, porcelain, stone, mosaic, etc.) on walls and floors.
• Seal and polish tiled surfaces as required.
• Identify and resolve any tiling issues or defects during or after installation.
• Work independently or as part of a team on renovations and repair projects.
• Maintain a clean and safe worksite and follow health and safety procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Wall and Floor Tiler, particularly in residential renovation and repair projects, or in a closely related field.
• Strong knowledge of tiling techniques, materials, tools, and safety practices.
• Ability to lift and handle heavy materials such as boxes of tiles and adhesives.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage time effectively.
• Good physical fitness and manual dexterity.
• Driver's license preferred.
• Ability to speak Cantonese or Mandarin is a real bonus as our primary clients come from the Asian market, particularly Chinese clients. We will certainly consider all candidates
• Availability to work in weekends and public holidays when required
