Smart Supermarket Botany is located in East Auckland. We offer a wide range of groceries and other products that meet your daily needs. We now need two Forklift Drivers to help us maintain our high standard. This is a full-time job with guaranteed hours of 30 hours per week.

This position involves the following tasks:

  • Operates forklift controls to position machinery and raise or lower forks for stacking and unstacking materials in our supermarket’s warehouse.
  • Receiving incoming goods.
  • Transports goods to assigned storage or processing areas within the warehouses.
  • Ensures materials are stored in designated locations to facilitate easy retrieval.
  • Assisting with regular stocktakes and putting goods at the correct shelf
  • Monitors forklift performance. 
  • Inspects equipment regularly to detect signs of wear, damage, or malfunction.
  • Carries out routine servicing, minor repairs, and necessary adjustments to forklifts.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations
  • Other reasonable tasks required by management

 

To qualify for the job, you need to have

  • At least 3 years of work experience in a retail context or driving.
  • You must be able to work during the weekend and till 9 PM at night
  • You should have can-do attitude and be able to work under pressure
  • You should also be an organized person with good time management skills
