We are looking for Builder's labourer for Auckland region.
About the role - Builder's Labourer
As a Builder's Labourer, you will play a crucial role in various construction projects, including residential, commercial,and industrial sites. You will work alongside skilled tradespeople to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
As part of this role, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards (but not limited to):
- Assist in the construction and renovation of buildings and other structures.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Follow blueprints and building plans to meet the needs of clients.
- Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards.
- Load and unload building and construction materials, tools, and equipment and transporting them around building sites.
- Shrinkwrap to create a temporary barrier around the scaffold to protect structures
from weather and other elements. - Remove, fill, or compact earth and following instructions from the site supervisor or senior technicians.
- Perform routine tasks in erecting and repairing structures and facilities on building and construction site.
- Perform site tidy-up.
- Operate and care for construction equipment and machines.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations.
Required Qualifications, Experience, and Attributes
- No formal qualifications required.
- Previous experience is not mandatory, but construction experience is advantageous.
- A valid driver’s license is preferred.
- Relevant certificates/qualifications preferable e.g. first aid certificate.
- Experience working at heights is a plus.
- Good physical fitness to meet the demands of the role.
- Punctual, organized, and able to multitask with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Pay and Benefits
- Full time permanent employment.
- Minimum of 35 hours/week guaranteed.
- Pay rate ranges between $23.50-$26.00 per hour.
