Key Responsibilities:

  • Study drawings to determine plasterboard layout.
  • Prepare walls and ceilings for plaster application, including removing old wallboard or plaster to prepare the building for new materials.
  • Make measurements and cut boards for application.
  • Construct and fit decorative plaster features (e.g., cornices, mouldings, architraves)
  • Apply and fix plasterboard partitions, wall linings, insulation, and suspended ceilings in residential buildings.
  • Prepare surfaces, mix plaster, and apply finishing coats
  • Seal joints and repair plasterwork
  • Adhere to health and safety standards

 

Requirements:

  • At least two years of relevant work experience or a NZQF Level 4 qualification
  • Proficiency with plastering tools and materials
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Physical fitness and reliability
