We are looking for two talented Hairdressers to join our store in Auckland. As a Hairdresser at Auckland Hair & Beauty Limited, you will have the opportunity to showcase your skills and creativity while delivering exceptional hair care services to our valuable clientele. From cutting and styling to colouring treatments, you will play a crucial role in helping our clients look and feel their best.

This business is open 7 days a week and the role require working a variable roster from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PERFORMING THE FOLLOWING TASKS TO THE HIGHEST STANDARDS:

  • Consult with clients to understand their haircare needs and preferences and give recommendations.
  • Provide a range of haircare services including cutting, styling, colouring as well as wigs, hair extensions, and hairpieces based on clients’ preferences and specifications
  • Provide face, scalp and neck massages.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and techniques of hairdressing.
  • Shampooing, conditioning and drying clients’ hair.
  • Using various hairstyling tools and equipment, including hair straighteners, curling irons, rollers, hairdryers and hot combs and to style clients’ hair accordingly.
  • Performing hair spa and deep conditioning
  • Applying chemical for permanent hair straightening and applying keratin treatment for damaged hair.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the salon. Ensure that combs, scissors, razors and other instruments are cleaned and sanitised after each use.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with team members to create a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Supervise apprentice and trainees as and when required.

Qualification, Experience and Attributes Required

  • Minimum 3 years of work experience as a Hairdresser.
  • High standard of personal hygiene and presentation.
  • Punctual, organised and capable of multitasking.
  • Team player with effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays as required.
  • Ability to work on feet for extended periods.
  • Reference check from your employer(s).

Pay & Benefits

  • Full time permanent employment.
  • Minimum of 30 hours/week guaranteed.
  • Pate rate ranges between $24/hour.
