Overview of the role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in supporting our clean energy projects by ensuring cost-effective, timely, and compliant sourcing of materials, equipment, and services. The Procurement Specialist will facilitate the full procurement cycle, from identifying suppliers to negotiating contracts, while upholding regulatory standards and driving sustainable supply chain practices.
This is a permanent position, offering a market-competitive salary between NZ$115,000 and NZ$120,000, commensurate with your skills, experience, and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate procurement processes for all clean energy projects, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Identify and evaluate sourcing opportunities to secure high-quality, cost-effective suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors to achieve the best commercial and operational outcomes.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure consistent quality, reliability, and sustainability.
- Coordinate procurement activities for solar technology, building materials, and associated services.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues relating to delivery, quality, or compliance.
- Prepare and maintain procurement documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, and audit records.
- Conduct cost analysis and support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to forecast demand and align procurement with project schedules.
- Mitigate risks by identifying potential supply disruptions and developing contingency strategies.
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years’ industry experience in photovoltaics, construction, architectural design or related sectors.
- Familiar with GoodWe, Sungrow, and other mainstream PV systems with hands-on experience in BIPV or green building projects preferred
- Have strong knowledge of the AS/NZS standards and supply chain ecosystems in China and New Zealand.
- Able to communicate fluently in both Mandarin and English fluently
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and ethical sourcing practices is an advantage.
