Ithai Limited is looking for five Cooks who will be working with our team to serve authentic Thai food.
Requirements

At least 2 years of the related work experience OR
-
At least NZ Register Level 4 qualification may substitute for the experience (overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealand qualification) OR
-
The National Skill Standard Testing Level 1 (Thai Cook or Thai Chef) from Thailand AND
-
Knowledge of Thai food ingredients

Knowledge of Thai food cooking techniques
Job Descriptions

Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Thai dishes, including curries, stir-fries, soups, and rice-based meals.

Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation align with traditional Thai culinary standards.

Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in food preparation areas.

Source and manage Thai-specific ingredients, ensuring proper storage and inventory control.

Assist in menu development and contribute to the creation of new Thai-inspired dishes.

Adhere to health, safety, and food handling regulations.

Ensure compliance with food hygiene standards, including proper sanitation and storage practices.

Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.

This is a full-time and permanent position

The wage ranges from $26.50 to $35.00 per hour, depending on your skills or experience, with weekly payments

Holiday pay and sick leave will be provided in accordance with the law

Work location: 39 Elliott Street, Auckland

You will be required to work on a rostered basis, 5–6 days per week, with a guarantee of 30 hours (maximum 48 hours).
